(West Nile win 3-2 on aggregate)

Monday – West Nile Province won their first ever FUFA Drum despite losing 2-1 to Lango Province at Akii Bua Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Northern side took the lead in the 11th minute through forward Dickens Okwir. It all started with a technical pass from Maduuka to Dickens who teased it with a zero touch onto Allan Okello who set it up nicely for Dickens to slot past Omedwa.

West Nile’s Muhammad Shaban almost leveled matters shortly but his short was blocked by Acire. The home side went ahead to extend their lead in the 38th minute through a beautiful goal by URA FC forward Joakim Ojera, sending the fans wild. Again, Innocent getting involved. The chicky winger got to the ball before right-back Atendele and passed onto Omedi who set up Ojera for the powerful finish.

Lango Province managed to hold on to their lead for the first 45 minutes, leaving the tie at an aggregate of 2-2.
