A tough afternoon at the Camp Nou was surely hard to stomach for the “cules” as we are globally known.

They believed it was surely possible to turn water into wine after having one of the worst starts in the league since the 1987/88 campaign, a season bundled with injuries left and right not forgetting the main man “Ansu Fati”, a damaged mindset from the 8-2 debacle, A “thief” in Bartomeu and the so called Pandemic, they were never getting back anytime soon……At least we thought!!.

Fast forward now and its a different ball game, The amazing tactics of Koeman in the 3-5-2, the brilliance of Frenkie, the rise of the young boys in Pedri, Oscar, Araujo and Illaix, this all has given cules to a certain belief. But let us not kid ourselves here because we saw it coming, from our last two games where we struggled to kill off games, a clearly fatigued team was fielded each time.

Lack of concentration in defense and clinical finishing have been the best highlight this season, the highly ineffective Sergi Roberto who once again dropped a below average performance did not do this team any good.

Thursday April 29th 2021 Laliga score; Barcelona (1) – (2) Granada, this was more of the player’s to blame than Koeman.
