BUL FC are set to complete a league double against their rivals in a Jinja Derby.

BUL FC make a short trip to Jinja City centre to play Busoga United in a Jinja Derby this afternoon at Kakindu Stadium.

BUL FC have been dominate against their rivals this season with the latest results being a 4-3 penalty shoot outs win which saw Busoga United get eliminated in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Busoga United, who are fighting for survival in the top flight head into the derby with 22 points after 21 games leaving them in the 13th place on the current table. 

Busoga United want to revenge on their rivals after a 5-0 whooping in their reverse fixture, “We have got a better advantage compared to our opponents that we are going to face basing on our previous meetings though we lost terribly to them in our first leg of the league by 5-0 at kyabazinga stadium.” Coach Abbey kikomecho.

Having won most of our second leg games, the boys are always motivated and they always seem to be ready to accomplish every job ahead of them and for today’s game we need nothing else but maximum points from it.” He added.

Bul FC got a comfortable 2-0 over bottom side Tooro United at Kyabazinga Stadium in their previous fixture leaving them as joint 4th on the log at 36 points level with Arua Hill. 

Alex Isabirye’s men are keen to continue with their good run when they visit Busoga United,  “ We also have a good record at their home and we registered a 3-0 win when we last visited them but today it will be a different story as we all know they haven’t been a poor side at home ever since the second leg started.”

Yes we all know Busoga United FC is fighting to remain in the league but we also have our own seasonal goals that we set as a club, we want to finish either second or third in the startimes Uganda premier table though it won’t be an easy game but am sure my players are in good shape to attain the required points.” he added.

This fixture between BUL FC and Busoga United FC has produced twelve games between the two teams in all competitions, resulting into four wins for BUL, three victories for Busoga and five draws.

BUL FC have won three times, drawn four and lost three games in ten (10) away matches.

The Eastern Giants have won three games in their past five league matches, lost once  and a draw in the other game.
