Nile Special Rugby Premier League; Heathens are set to extend their unbeaten run as Impis take on Warriors.

Uganda Nile Special Rugby Premier League table leaders Heathens with 63 points, five points adrift of the 2nd placed Pirates want to extend their unbeaten record when they host Mongers at Kyadondo this afternoon.

A win for the Yellow machines will put them a step closer to sealing their 16th title this season.

Elsewhere, Makerere based Impis are back in action today after a heavy loss last weekend when they visit fellow relegation contenders Warriors at Legends today.

Warriors are 9th on the table with eight points while their opponents Impis are bottom of the table with seven points in 13 games.

In another game this weekend, 2nd placed Stanbic Black Pirates continue their title chase at home when they host the Buffaloes at King’s Park in Bweyogerere.

Pirates are 2nd on the table at 58 points while the Buffaloes are in the 5th place with 29 points after 13 games played.

Defending Champions Kobs host Jinja based side Hippos who are in a fine form after recording five successive wins in their previous five games.

Jinja Hippos are 4th on the table, 22 points below today’s opponents Kobs are 3rd with 56 points in 13 league games.

Hippos Captain David Waako is confident of getting aganist last season’s champions at legends, “We have been an improving team this season, bearing in mind that we have improved against the minnows. Now is the time when we need to stand up and make a statement on one of the three great giants of the game in the country.” – Jinja Hippos Captain David Waako said.

We know that they are still a better team, but we shall challenge them.” He added.

Rams want to build on their win against their landlords, Impis last weekend when they host Rhinos at Graveyard in Makerere.

Rams are 7th at 23 points, eight points ahead of Rhinos as they head into this game.
