Byekwaso names provisional squad for Cecafa

Uganda cranes head coach Morley Byekwaso has named a provisional 40-man squad for the 2021 CECAFA Senor Challenge Cup set to take place in Ethiopia.

The tournament, which is only for players below 23 years of age, allows three players above the same age category to feature for any teams.

Uganda has called five senior players to fill the above category. The senior players named include; Goalkeepers Watenga Ismail (Chippa United FC) and Charles Lukwago (KCCA FC), Striker Yunus Ssentamu (Vipers SC), defender Murushid Juuko (Express FC) and midfielder Saidi Kyeyune (unattached).

Accordning to FUFA, the players will meet at FUFA House in Mengo on Friday 18th June 2021 at 8am before heading to Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi for residential camp.
