Coach Abdallah Mubiru Part Ways with Police FC

Police FC have sacked their head coach Abdallah Mubiru following his poor performance in his recent games.

The CEO of Police FC, Red. CP Arinaitwe PK released a press statement this evening confirming the dismissal, in his press statement he cited that the Board has taken a decision after carrying out a full analysis of his performance in relation to the Club’s hopes of staying in the top flight division.

His statement further reads, “At the beginning of the season the ambition and hopes of the club were to win the Uganda Premier League title.

As the season progressed these hopes were dashed. Currently the hopes are to stay in the top flight of Uganda’s Football”.

Police FC last won a game in the league on the 3rd of January this year against regelation threatened Tooro United and their most humiliating defeat was a 4-1 loss on home turf against Onduparaka FC.

Abdallah Mubiru’s last game in charge of Police saw him lose 3-0 against Mbarara City away at Kakyeka Stadium.

Abdallah Mubiru joined Police in 2016 replacing Sam Timbe and helped save the team from relegation, finishing 13th in the league standings with a difference of a point from relegated Lweza FC, last season he lifted the team to a 5th placed finish which made him sign a new contract extension with the Club.

The Board has appointed John Luyinda as the acting head coach and will be assisted by Tonny Mawejje as a player coach after his dismissal.
