Kcca Fc signs Vipers Left Back to strengthen their backline.
In their quest to return the Kasasiro Boys to the glory days, KCCA FC has secured the signing of Vipers’ left-back, Issa “Essien” Mubiru.
The 27 Year old versatile, courageous, and solid left-back has signed a two-year contract with the Lugogo-based team, as they aim to rebuild and strengthen their squad ahead of the return of the Uganda Premier League.
Mubiru began his football career at MS Soccer Academy in Namasuba and was subsequently recruited by the Soana Junior team in the FUFA Juniors League.
He was then promoted to the Soana Senior team in the Uganda Premier League, which was later rebranded as Tooro United.
Following the team’s relegation, the left-back joined UPDF FC before signing a three-year contract with Vipers in 2022. He was part of Vipers’ domestic double-winning team in the 2022/23 season.
He has spent 2 season at Vipers but spent most of last season on the sidelines fighting to regain his form after an injury at the beginning of the season.
He joins KCCA FC to compete for a starting position with Herbert Achai, Kiliza Mustapha, and other left-footed defenders.
