Madrid Open

This year’s Mutual Madrid Open has experienced a shortfall of Top players after several top name stars announced their withdraw from the Madrid ca1pital tournament with stars such as Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Bianca Andreescu, Stanislas Wawrinka ,Gael Monfils not able to be part.
World number one  Novak Djokovic is now joining them with multiple reports stating  that the Serbian will not take part.
In his recent defeat to Aslan Karatsev in the semifinals of Belgrade, the world No.1 looked fatigued and not sharp as he has always been, this may have forced him to recharge his batteries. By press time the defending Rome champion was still entered in the Rome open championship.
However the good news is that World No. 4 Dominic Thiem, is expected to return at Madrid, as are Russian Daniil Medvedev, home favorite Rafael Nadal, who is currently the world No.2. Medvedev is now the top seed of the tournament.
