Maroons FC advance to the last eight in the 48th Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Maroons FC is the only club from the FUFA Big League remaining in the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after a home win against Ndejje university at the prisons stadium in luzira on Wednesday, 23rd March 2022.

A penalty goal scored by Fred Amaku and a goal by Norman Odiopio led to Maroons’ victory  to a 2-0 win over Ndejje University to win a slot in the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda cup.

Fred Amaku scored the only goal in the first half from the spot in the 23rd minute after he was fouled in the penalty area.

Holding midfielder Norman Odiopio extended Maroons’ lead with a goal scored in the second half of the game to make it 2-0.

Maroons contained their 2-0 win till the 90th minute and this led them to qualify for the quarter finals 

Sports club Villa knocked out Express FC with 4-3 in the penalty shoots after a goalless draw at the Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium on the 22nd March 2022.

The former champions Vipers FC hosted Mbale Kataka at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and the won 3-0 courtesy of Yunus sentamu, Allan kayiwa and Paul mucuurezi.

Else where,Mbarara City humiliated Iganga Young 4-0 at Kakyeka stadium.

Onduparaka FC will host SC Vill at the AbaBet Green Light Stadium in Arua city on 3rd April 2022

There is a delay in the SC Villa fixture due to accident the team was involved in on their way to Gulu around migeera town on the 19th February 2022 to play against the super Eagles.
