The Uganda Netball Federation on Tuesday unveiled the first ever replica jersey for the netball fans. This occurred on Tuesday night during the launch of a fundraising campaign at Kampala Serena Hotel, that is aimed at having a home for the Netball team that meets international standards.
The replica jerseys are manufactured by Namibian sportswear brand 6mo9, fronted by former soccer player Alfred Ndyenge. The sportswear brand has gained popularity with local African consumers – despite heavy competition.
Many companies showed up to support the project during the launch. Eco Bank donated shs 10 million towards the project, Nivana, MTN Uganda, Ceaser University, Gotv, Salt Media, National Lotteries and Gaming Board, NGO Board, and Nile Breweries were some of the brands that made commitments.
She Cranes upcoming event
The She Cranes are expected to fly to Birmingham on 20th July 2022. Uganda is in Group B, together with the hosts, England, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago, Northern Ireland and Malawi.
