USPA Awards: Mary Nuba Voted Netball Player of the Year 2021
Ugandan Netball Player Mary Cholhok Nuba has been voted as Netballer of the year 2021 at the 2022 Uganda Sports Personality Awards held this evening.
Mary, who also plays for Loughborough Lightning in the British Netball SuperLeague and for the Uganda Netball team as the GS scored 633 goals in 15 games for the England Loughborough Lightening who defeated Manchester Thunder in the Netball SuperLeague finals.
She Cranes captain Peace Proscovia, who features for Surrey Storm, was the leading scorer with 853 goals. The seasoned will join her teammates soon despite having challenges with her passport.
The lanky GS has joined the She Cranes camp in Kamwokya ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Games, which will take place in Birmingham, England, late next month.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022 is scheduled to be held in Birmingham, England from 28 July to 8 August 2022.
Birmingham was announced as host on 21 December 2017, marking England’s third time hosting the Commonwealth Games after London 1934 and Manchester 2002.
