BUL Dominate Vipers To Win 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup

Bul FC midfielder Simon Peter Oketch, a product of the FUFA Juniors League, was named the best midfielder of the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Bul FC have won the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after defeating last season’s winners Vipers SC 3-1 in the final played at Booma Grounds in Masindi.

The tournament top scorer Karim Ndugwa scored twice while Simon Peter Oketch scored the other for the Jinja Bulls. Vipers skipper Halid Lwaliwa scored the consolation for his side.

Karim Ndugwa scored the first goal of the match towards half an hour mark to give Bul FC the lead. Simon Peter Oketch doubled their advantage three minutes to half time.

Ndugwa burried the game in the 53rd minute after tapping home from close range after the forward was laid by midfielder Oketch.

Vipers captain Luwalira headed home Vipers consolation in the 73rd minute. Bul FC were able to hold on to win their first Uganda Cup and Alex Isabirye’s third after having won it with URA FC (2012) and SC Victoria University in 2013.

The winners Bul Fc walked home with shs 50 million. Meanwhile runners-up Vipers pocketed shs 25 million.
